Job Introduction

A key role that will lead, control and develop the entire bottling operation, at our Bellshill site, to ensure delivery of key results in line with our overall packaging plan.

Main Responsibilities

  • You’ll manage the Bellshill bottling operation, to the highest possible standard, ensuring continuity of management, a sound control environment, and sharing of best practice.
  • Working collaboratively with Supply Chain and other key stakeholders, you’ll harness relationships that ensure overall alignment and manufacturing capability.
  • You’ll develop and execute the site operational plan, ensuring the smooth running of the dry goods warehouse, vat and bottling halls and ensure that operations are aligned with the packaging plan, vision & targets.
  • Maintain close control over productivity metrics, and associated financial costs, to deliver the best outcomes at the lowest cost via:

    - driving productivity
    - delivering improvement programmes e.g. downtime reduction, changeover efficiency.
    - strong operational routines and control, leading key daily, weekly, monthly performance routines.
   - development of area and team leader populations to deliver exceptional performance.

  • Ensure the efficient functioning of operations, crewing appropriately with skilled employees across shifts, optimising labour, promoting teamwork, ensuring employee welfare, and executing efficient changeovers.
  • You’ll optimise energy/utility usage, minimising wastage and continuously improving our environmental performance.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of pro-active maintenance, ensure the availability of critical spares and measure performance to identify improvements.
  • You will ensure equipment is maintained in proper condition, including regular machine cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Ensure that both Health & Safety and statutory standards are complied with (e.g. Environmental, Customs, HMRC) and flag any shortfalls. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to implement appropriate countermeasures and drive improvements.

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Experienced in leading a bottling or other FMCG production environment.
